SO as you all know Candy Cash and myself have recently moved to NYC to come and make it BIG…….
After finding an apartment and finally settling down in our own spot,it is time to get out there and make something happen.It is a big change from Dubai as there are so many awesome technicians here and you are only as good as your last day,because you can be replaced so easily …. There is always someone as good if not better than you waiting around the corner waiting to steal the food out of your kids mouth…
So for the past week i have been sending my CV out to as many gaffers/grips and Dp’s as i can in order to get a bite in this massive pond that i find my self swimming around in …I have had a lot of positive response and holding thumbs for a two month long gig in April,will keep ya informed….
One night on a trip home Candy and myself pulled into a wee bar for a quick drink, turns out the barman is also in the industry and he hooked me up with the owner of the bar who also runs a rental house and works as a gaffer in NYC …. So i did a freebie job with him to show off my mad skills and he is throwing some work my way… So you see drinking does have its good points…
The barman Brandon is busy preparing to shoot a short film and has asked me to come on board and help him light it and shoot it .. awesome story so will keep ya all informed as to how it goes…
